To save the three of you that read this blog the pain of reading an eight-page rant about my hatred for LeBron and how his behavior/this fiasco has just solidified that fact with me forever, I’m just going to post links to two articles that really summarize my feelings a lot better than I can.  Also, this picture is great too.

Enjoy the reads:

1. LeBron James Is A Cocksucker: This article was written by Drew Magary, contributing editor to Deadspin, and it’s awesomely awesome:

Tomorrow is the day LeBron James becomes the most unlikable person in the NBA, and perhaps all of American sports. I used to think he was okay a year ago. No more. He’s the villain now.

It doesn’t matter where he opts to go. If he goes to Chicago, he’s a cocksucker. If he goes to Miami, he’s a cocksucker. Even if he goes back to Cleveland, he’s a goddamn cocksucker. He’s a self-aggrandizing sack of shit, and ESPN is a bunch of pussy-whipped enablers for giving him a free hour of airtime tomorrow night and inevitably using 55 minutes of it to let Stu Scott give him a rimjob.

LeBron is now the guy you openly root against. If he leaves Cleveland tomorrow night, he’ll have needlessly strung along an entire fanbase and given them the middle finger by making their breakup spectacularly public. If he stays, he’ll have spent two years cockteasing the rest of the world about going somewhere else when he probably never wanted to leave Ohio to begin with. There’s no end result tomorrow that makes LeBron a sympathetic figure. He’s already gone past the point of no return. He’s a cocksucker. Fitting that his most memorable career moment will come when he doesn’t even take a fucking shot. He’s a guy that cares more about the end result of playing basketball – massive, unending adulation – than he does actual basketball.

2. Countdown to the LeBronocalypse: And this one was written by the Sports Guy, Bill Simmons, who, as he sometimes does, puts it perfectly:

…If LeBron picks anyone other than the Cavaliers, it will be the cruelest television moment since David Chase ended “The Sopranos” by making everyone think they lost power. Cleveland fans will never forgive LeBron, nor should they. He knows better than anyone what kind of sports anguish they have suffered over the years. Losing LeBron on a contrived one-hour show would be worse than Byner’s fumble, Jose Mesa, the Game 5 meltdown against Boston, The Drive, The Shot and everything else. At least those stomach-punch moments weren’t preordained, unless you believe God hates Cleveland (entirely possible, by the way). This stomach-punch moment? Calculated. By a local kid they loved, defended and revered.

It would be unforgivable. Repeat: unforgivable. I don’t have a dog in this race — as a Celtics fan, I wanted to see him go anywhere but Chicago — but LeBron doing this show after what happened in the 2010 playoffs actually turned me against him. No small feat. I was one of his biggest defenders. Not anymore.

I think it’s a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don’t you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That’s why I’m holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he’d be saying, “Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their team. The Celtics are still there. Durant’s team is coming. I’m gonna go out and build MY team, and I’m kicking all their asses.” That’s what Jordan would have done. Hell, that’s what Kobe would have done.

In May, after the Cavs were ousted in the conference semifinals, I wrote that LeBron was facing one of the greatest sports decisions ever: “winning (Chicago), loyalty (Cleveland) or a chance at immortality (New York).”

I never thought he would pick “HELP!”

LeBron joining Wade after his 2010 playoffs flameout, in my opinion, is like Conan O’Brien getting kicked in the teeth by NBC, then overreacting and forming a late-night version of “The View” with Chris Rock, Adam Carolla and Jeffrey Ross over trying to create his own show somewhere else. (Note to Carolla and Ross: Don’t get excited, it’s only a hypothetical.) Total cop-out. The move of someone who, deep down, doesn’t totally trust his own talents any more. And maybe he doesn’t.

Such eloquent poetry…I could quote both these articles all day, particularly Simmons’ article because it’s longer, but take a look at them yourselves, take a look at that beautiful picture above and then think about it before tuning in to LeDoucheFest 2010 at 9PM tonight.  Regardless of what happens, after this week I won’t be disappointed.

Forever (single cover)

The biggest hip-hop song of the year, “Forever,” by Drake, Kanye, Lil’ Wayne & Eminem, gets the biggest hip-hop video of the year (directed by Hype Williams, of course) on what, I think, is going to be the biggest surprise film of the year, “More Than a Game,” the documentary that chronicles LeBron Douche and his four douche friends from middle school to superstardom, assembled from the thousands of hours of home video that someone just happened to record over those years.

While the film’s success will remain uncertain until it is released on October 9th, even if it turns out to be a hit, it will battle for second place at best on the “basketball movie” genre list, as there is just no way it could ever possibly top a movie co-starring Bugs Bunny…and that’s a fact. So we’ll just leave that discussion at that.

Space Jam

Either way…peep the video; it’s hot. And as sick as this song is and as much as I love all the artists in it, it leaves me thinking one thing every single time the song ends: when Em is on his game, he really is on another level than everyone else. It’s good to see that he’s still got it and that he won’t be rhyming in that “For Me to Poop On” voice for the rest of his life.

And if you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and download “Forever” right here

LeBron James is a Shitass

Wow, I’m the happiest person ever:

Now the basketball world can finally see the footage: NBA MVP LeBron James getting dunked on by a college player.

On Wednesday, TMZ.com and ebaumnation.com released different versions of the much-anticipated video of Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunking on James last month at Nike’s LeBron James Skills Academy at the University of Akron. The TMZ footage, presumably shot via a cell phone and looking about as steady as the San Andreas Fault, shows Crawford dunking over James in the middle of a pickup game. The footage from ebaumnation.com (above), which is higher quality and includes better audio, was shot from the side of the court where the dunk took place and shows Crawford’s two-handed jam at the 35-second mark.

As had been previously reported, Nike, which ran the James camp, confiscated the footage of two videographers working the camp because they claimed the videotaping of after-hours pickup games was not allowed. One of the videographers, Ryan Miller, spoke with SI.com on Wednesday and confirmed that it was indeed the dunk, but not the footage he shot. “I am 99.9 percent sure that is the actual dunk,” said Miller, a 22-year-old recent Syracuse University graduate. “I was obviously in a different position on the floor but it was the same reaction from the crowd, same everything. The footage they had before was also footage from that same pickup game. So that’s the dunk. Finally.”

So, behold the “Greatest Video of All Time” (which really could be called the “most overrated” video of all time…but I’m still gonna say he got shat on) featuring my favorite basketball player/human of the moment, Jordan Crawford:

Here is my boy Jordan Crawford talking about dunking on LeBron Douche:

Finally, here is a link to TMZ’s footage of the dunk, which, supposedly, is the most extensive; please watch repeatedly.  Also, LeBron James sucks ass.  Lots of ass.

UPDATE: Another angle of the dunk, this one in “high quality:”

LBJgivesBJExactly…

There comes a time in every blog’s life where a post is so perfect that it truly transcends the existence of the blog. In fact, the post is so good, and its content so utterly spectacular, that it necessarily renders every subsequent blog post inferior for the rest of time. Well, my friends, the new Nike LeBron James – Kobe Bryant puppet commercial is out, and this post is officially that post.*

The below commercial, 33 second of pure, unadulterated bliss, is so good and shits on LeBron so hard that it took me a full three days (until I just saw it on TV about ten minutes ago) for me to even believe that it was a real Nike commercial and not just the product of some fellow computer-hacking-Lebron-hater/my hero out there in the blogosphere. The pacing, the cinematography and, more than anything, the outstanding puppeteering all come together in perfect harmony, brilliantly intertwining into what will almost certainly go down as the greatest (at least in my mind) commercial of all time the juxtaposition of the shit-eating grin on Kobe’s face against LeBron’s metaphorical “eating [of] shit” at the breakfast table. Although it seems as though not everybody agrees with me (e.g. Awful Announcing), this is my blog.
So, finally, and without further adieu, I present to you the latest, the greatest and, unfortunately (after Nike made the marketing move of the century by continuing the commercials despite LeBron sadly losing the Eastern Conference Finals single-handedly), the final LeBron James-Kobe Bryant Nike puppet commercial:

Although none of the other puppet commercials even hold a candle to the genius of this one, feel free to watch all of the MVPuppet commercials here on Nike’s website.

UPDATE (6/19): After perusing the Nike basketball site, it turns out that there is, indeed, another “MVPuppets” commercial, this one presumably being the final one for the season. It’s called “LeBron 2010″ and shows LeBitch “preparing” for the 2010 season. Since it still shines a losing light on LeBron, I’ll allow a link to it, albeit a small one, right….here.

*While this is, indeed, the truth, and I can almost guarantee that every subsequent post from this one on out will necessarily be inferior to this one, there is one significant fact that one must keep in mind: not enough people read this blog for it to really matter. So, from hereon forth, despite the magnitude of the above posting, nothing about Blogbdon will change whatsoever, as I promise to continue to provide you with the same marginally useful information and mediocre literary ability.

MJ Dunk Free Throw Line

That’s Michael Jordan, by the way, if you weren’t aware of who I was referring to.  Not the “self-annointed,” number-23-wearing crybaby “King” that people these days call that other guy.

LeBron Crybaby

Back to the topic at hand, happy 46th birthday Mike.  Here’s some assorted videos and shit of Michael in his hey:
