The biggest hip-hop song of the year, “Forever,” by Drake, Kanye, Lil’ Wayne & Eminem, gets the biggest hip-hop video of the year (directed by Hype Williams, of course) on what, I think, is going to be the biggest surprise film of the year, “More Than a Game,” the documentary that chronicles LeBron Douche and his four douche friends from middle school to superstardom, assembled from the thousands of hours of home video that someone just happened to record over those years.
While the film’s success will remain uncertain until it is released on October 9th, even if it turns out to be a hit, it will battle for second place at best on the “basketball movie” genre list, as there is just no way it could ever possibly top a movie co-starring Bugs Bunny…and that’s a fact. So we’ll just leave that discussion at that.
Either way…peep the video; it’s hot. And as sick as this song is and as much as I love all the artists in it, it leaves me thinking one thing every single time the song ends: when Em is on his game, he really is on another level than everyone else. It’s good to see that he’s still got it and that he won’t be rhyming in that “For Me to Poop On” voice for the rest of his life.
And if you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and download “Forever” right here

I know a lot of people might argue many others, most notably Vince’s ridiculous dunk contest in 2000, but this is pretty absurd:

The nerve of some women:
During the fifth inning of tonight’s whooping of the Nationals, Jayson Werth got underneath a 2-0 pitch from Garrett Mock and sent it straight up in the air headed towards the 300 level just above the CSN broadcast booth. A gentleman who was sitting up in those seats quickly realized he had a shot at the ball, so he stood up, leaned over the railing, and to the delight of the crowd, made an impressive catch. And being the good father that he is, he then handed the ball over to his daughter, who immediately turned around and tossed the ball back over the rail and into the Diamond Club behind home plate.
…Thus creating what is easily the funniest fan-unintentionally-throws-baseball-back-onto-field instance in sports history.

*Just to clarify, when I wrote “preview” in the title of this post, what I meant to write was “full, retail album in its entirety,” as one of the most anticipated albums of 2009 ended up leaking yesterday, two weeks prior to its release. Now, I am usually the first one to stand up for artists and protest against the piracy of their music (full disclosure: this is not true in even the slightest), but can such an innocent download really be called “piracy” when the artist himself:
1. Is worth $150 million; and
2. Admitted in an interview yesterday that the album leaking early is actually good publicity for its September 11th release:
“I may be the most bootlegged artist in history,” he said in an interview after learning the news. “It’s a preview. I’m excited for people to hear the album. I’m very proud of the work I’ve down, so enjoy it…My pager is actually ringing right now, so people are probably calling me and telling me they pretty much like it. I can tell by the way my pager rings if a song is good or not. It’s really going crazy right now.”

Well, the answer is “yes,” it still is piracy. Luckily, however, only the person who hosts the files or the website can get nailed in such a case, and considering I average about 1-2 hits a day (myself and myself later on), Blogbdon has all the necessary safeguards in place to shield you from any potential lawsuits. So, if you haven’t already, scroll back up there, download the shit out of it and go brag to your friends how cool you are for having the new Jay-Z like 6 hours before they do. And do yourself a favor and listen to the track with Kid CuDI (“Already Home”); it’s the best song on there.
ALSO, check out the sickest commercial I’ve seen in a long time, starring Hova and a bunch of his most famous album covers in a new Rhapsody spot:
